Hello all,
When trial resumes on Thursday or Friday, Carl Dix, Jamel Mims, Bob Parsons and Morgan Rhodewalt face conviction of two counts of Obstruction of Government Administration (OGA) plus one count of disorderly conduct. They are looking at a maximum sentence of one year in jail on each of the OGA charges to run concurrently. Make no mistake: what is being put on trial here is nothing less than the ability and right to stand up and say NO MORE to the racist policy of Stop-and-Frisk, which terrorizes Black and Brown people throughout the city. This cannot be allowed to go down. Will the message be that if you stand up to Stop-and-Frisk, you will go to jail, a severe setback to the movement to Stop, Stop-and-Frisk or will the message be that if you stand up to Stop-and-Frisk, people will have your back, pushing forward and bringing many more to oppose this outrage? Many of us are stuck at home. Let’s use this time to bring many more into this struggle to prevent the jailing of Carl Dix and the Stop-and-Frisk Freedom Fighters. Note: the Monday November 5 trial in Brooklyn is unlikely to go forward because of the storm delay.
What you can do:
1) Call, fax and e-mail the Queens, NY District Attorney, Richard Brown. Tell the DA to drop charges from November 19, 2011 on Stop-and-Frisk Freedom Fighters, Carl Dix, Jamel Mims, Robert Parsons, and Morgan Rhodewalt. Ask everyone that you know to do this as well.
Call: 718 286 6000, ask for District Attorney Richard Brown
Fax: 718-286-6350
E-mail both:

2) A big part of this struggle is prominent people speaking out to demand that the charges be dropped. This contributes to the authorities having face the growing opposition among people with a public following and many more people hearing about this case, both of which raise the political price of continuing with the prosecution of the Stop-and-Frisk Freedom Fighters. Urge the following prominent people to speak out by sending your own tweets or retweeting the tweets from @Carl_Dix and @StopMassIncNet or search go tohttps://twitter.com/search?q=carl_dix&src=typd
